Last week, bd4travel participated in the World Travel Market in London. We had a booth in partnership with Giata, and met with dozens of clients and prospects during the show.

I also participated in a seminar on “Getting to Series A” funding, where participants discussed the key criteria that investors look at when deciding or not to bet on your business and write a check to you.

Below is a minute long video with tips how to raise venture capital funding. The real questions is not how to get series A funding, but rather how to get to series A funding, in other words how travel tech startups can get to a position where they are appealing to investors.


For me, the most important factor is to have a great product – and to be able to show that you have an idea that will work. It’s also about having a plan, and clearly articulating the vision for executing it. Finally, building credibility and a good network in your area of expertise is key.
