More travellers mix the classic sightseeing with unique local experiences. Of course, travelers heading to Paris want to discover the Eiffel Tower, but they’re also looking for local experiences like food tours to enhance their trip. It is not enough that a destination is unique, what also counts is that the activities they join make them feel like a local. And they may learn a new skill while they travel – whether it be how to bottle wine in Spain, understanding the story behind the coffee bean in Ethiopia or making soba noodles in Japan.

Andy Owen-Jones is highly experienced in the travel industry and focuses particularly on the future-oriented area of AI-driven personalisation. Before founding bd4travel, Andy CEO worked for the leading German leisure specialist TravelTainment and Amadeus. Other important milestones in his career were leading positions at Virgin Atlantic Airlines, brand management at British Airways and consultancy at Deloitte.
